Joy Farm Market is a busy and growing local store located in the heart of Uptown New Westminster. We offer a wide variety of fresh organic produce, groceries, and essential everyday products at affordable prices.
As a locally owned business with expanding operations, the Director currently oversees multiple business activities. Due to the increasing administrative responsibilities, we are seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Officer to work closely with the Director and oversee key administrative functions.
This role will support the smooth daily operations of the market, maintain financial and operational records, and ensure effective communication between staff, vendors, and customers.
Work Location: 927 8th Avenue, New Westminster, BC V3M 2R4
Position Title: Senior Administrative Officer
Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $29.00 – $31.10 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Benefit: 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
· Respond to inquiries from business partners, wholesale agents, and customers, and direct them to the appropriate contact when necessary.
· Prepare and update reports related to purchase orders, including product types, quantities, quality, and pricing information.
· Monitor office supply inventory and place orders in advance to ensure daily administrative operations run smoothly.
· Schedule meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up with management on action items to support efficient office operations.
· Oversee daily office activities to ensure administrative procedures are followed and continuously improved where needed.
· Manage contracting and invoicing processes and ensure office systems supporting daily market operations run efficiently.
· Coordinate with the director on budget preparation, maintain inventory records, and prepare regular reports to support financial and operational management.
Job Requirements:
· Completion of secondary education is required.
· A university degree or college diploma in business administration, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
· At least 3+ years of work experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role is required.
· Working knowledge of English is required.
· Ability to support office operations, administrative systems, and daily workflows efficiently.
